We couldn’t help but admire the diamond encrusted Mercedes which the video links to Saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Talal. A statement from his people insists that he has never owned this car. Whoever owns this car they must have spent more on blinging it up than the car is worth…a waste of money? Probably? Spectacular? Without a doubt!
Also on the rich but slightly mad list is a Sultan who spent £15,000 on one haircut and insisted on given his hairdresser his own private cabin to ensure he did not pick up any colds or diseases.
More shockingly is Indian business magnate Mukesh Dhirubhai Ambani. The billionaire spent 2 billion on his home – a 27 storey luxury skyscraper. Every single room is decked out with opulence and grandeur. The luxury home overlooks the slums of Mumbai. We think that people should be able to spend their money however they wish, but we do wonder how he sleeps at night overlooking the slums and the heart wrenching poverty that is just metres away. Just think what a couple of million could do for the poverty stricken children who are riddled with disease and have to beg for food just to survive each day.
Nonetheless, however you choose to judge or not judge the affluent in this video, it makes for pretty eye opening viewing. It’s a different world! Check it out and decide for yourselves.
