The Nissan GT-R GT500 is the latest model from Japan’s super GT series and Nismo’s race car.
It’s been give a massive rear wing and some cool aero modifications although it still of course meets the 2017 GT500 regulations. This results in downforce reduction of 25% although it’s a much more powerful machine.
The V8 engines are tremendous, The turbo charged 2.0 litre 4 cylinder engines produce an almighty 600bhp. It’s quite the featherweight too at just 1000kg.
GT-R won titles in both 2014 and 2015, but after missing out this year GT-R is eager to claim the throne once more.
Takao Katagiri, big boss at Nismo said: ““We will make further development improvements during off-season tests and aim to create a race car that will shine brilliantly within the history of motorsports.”
Will they snatch the title in 2017? Only time will tell!
