The 2024 McLaren 750S, offered in Coupe and Spider variants, boasts impressive acceleration, reaching 60 mph in just 2.7 seconds. As the successor to the McLaren 720S, the 750S introduces enhancements across the board, with around 30% of its components being new or modified. Both body styles were unveiled by the automaker.

Underneath its familiar exterior, the new McLaren hides a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 engine generating 740 horsepower (750 brake horsepower) and 590 pound-feet of torque, surpassing the McLaren P1. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels through an updated seven-speed sequential gearbox with a shorter final drive ratio.

Both the 750S Coupe and Spider can achieve 60 mph in 2.7 seconds, although the convertible is slightly slower to 124 mph and 186 mph. Notably, the coupe completes the quarter-mile in 10.1 seconds, while the Spider takes 10.3 seconds. Both models can reach a top speed of 206 mph.

The model features a slightly wider front track and updated suspension geometry, coupled with McLaren’s new-generation Proactive Chassis Control III. Additionally, improvements have been made to the vehicle-lift system, reducing the time it takes to raise the front of the car.

In terms of design, the 750S adheres to McLaren’s “form follows function” philosophy, featuring a blend of familiar elements and fresh styling cues. Notable exterior updates include a new bumper design, redesigned eye sockets, and an extended front splitter. The rear showcases a center-exit exhaust system and larger intakes ahead of the rear wheel.

Inside, the standard Alcantara interior can be upgraded to TechLux or Performance specifications. Notable interior enhancements include a new dark metal finish, customizable ambient lighting, and updated displays. The McLaren Control Launcher allows drivers to access favorite settings with a single button press, while Apple CarPlay comes standard.

McLaren focused on weight reduction, with features like carbon fiber racing seats and lightweight forged alloy rims. The Coupe weighs 66 lbs less than its predecessor, while the Spider is only 108 lbs heavier.

Various optional upgrades are available, including a track brake upgrade, carbon fiber racing seats, and high-performance tires. The 750S is currently available for order from McLaren retailers, with prices starting at $324,000 for the Coupe and $345,000 for the Spider.
