Tim Burton directs the latest Alice In Wonderland adventure Alice Through The Looking Glass 2016.
Poor old Alice! She left Wonderland to set sail across the world and start a new life of discovery. Unfortunately she finds herself in a an asylum where she is subjected to stern psychologists who assess her mental state and decide she is suffering from ‘female hysteria’, a common diagnosis at the time when the book the film is set on was written. There is nothing for it but to flee back to Wonderland and Alice carries out a great escape! However her return to Wonderland is not a bed of roses and she is once again faced with conflict and discovers that her good friend the Mad Hatter is in danger. Only Alice can save the day with the help of her accomplices and mad mix of animal friends.
Tim Burton certainly doesn’t disappoint and the CGI looks set to be even more phenomenal than the first movie. You can be guaranteed plenty of hair raising antics from Alice and friends and the evil Queen played superbly by Helen Bonham Carter. Alice Through The Looking Glass is sheer hedonism at it’s finest. Escape to a world of abject madness and fantasy! Take the kids, take your gran. Tim Burton is the perfect choice to direct this adaptation of the Lewis Carroll novel. A great film for all the family.
