Bentley Batur Convertible: Luxurious and Powerful Sports Convertible with W12 Engine Generating 740 Horsepower, Limited to Just 16 Units

Bentley introduces the Batur Convertible, a luxurious sports convertible featuring the formidable W12 engine, delivering a staggering 740 horsepower, with only 16 units slated for production.

Following the launch of the Bentley Batur Coupe, a hardtop version introduced in 2022 and limited to just 18 units, Bentley, the renowned British luxury car manufacturer, now offers customers another option. This time, it’s the Bentley Batur Convertible, albeit in even more limited numbers, with only 16 units being produced.

Crafted by Mulliner, the Bentley Batur Convertible is the next iteration following the Batur Coupe and the Bacalar Barchetta (Roadster), all based on the same platform as the third-generation Continental GT currently available in the market.

In terms of design, it shares elements with the hardtop version, allowing customers to further customize according to their preferences through collaboration with Mulliner’s design team. Moreover, it’s powered by the twin-turbocharged W12 engine, a 6.0-liter powerhouse.

The Bentley Batur Convertible boasts a redesigned rear with a prominent Duck Trail spoiler positioned atop the rear decklid. Additionally, it features an “Airbridge” that matches the car’s body color, situated at the rear headrests. The front grille is crafted from black Titanium.

Furthermore, the soft-top roof can be electronically operated, opening or closing in just 19 seconds at speeds of up to 48 km/h. It also comes equipped with 22-inch floating wheels, with wheel rims matching the car’s body color.

The showcased model in the images comes in Vermillion orange, adorned with black Duck Trail spoilers, black side skirts, and diffusers made from carbon fiber.

Inside, the convertible seats only two passengers, drawing inspiration from the Bacalar model unveiled in 2021, featuring the Batur model emblem on the passenger-side console.

Highlights include the use of 18K gold, with the model name engraved around the Drive mode ring and Start-Stop button. Customers can further customize according to their preferences, whether it’s the color or materials used for decoration.

Under the hood, the Bentley Batur Convertible houses the twin-turbocharged W12 engine, a 6.0-liter powerhouse. This model boasts a newly tuned ID system, upgraded turbochargers, and intercoolers, along with an aluminum exhaust system, paired with an 8-speed double-clutch automatic gearbox. This configuration unleashes the full potential of the sports convertible, delivering a remarkable 740 horsepower (PS) and a maximum torque of 1,000 Newton-meters, making it the most powerful engine Bentley has ever produced in a production car.

As for the retail price, Bentley has yet to disclose the figures, but it’s expected to exceed £2,000,000.
