2016 is set to bring us many incredible Marvel films, with Deadpool being one of the most original ideas.
The latest film turns everything you think you might know about superheroes on it’s head and we are introduced to the newest anti-hero who is played by Ryan Reynolds. Reynolds is an excellent choice for this role delivering his witty lines in a truly comic way.
The immediate hook begins when we discover that Reynolds, previously a Special Forces Operations expert, discovers that he has terminal cancer. He is then approached by a secret organisation who reveals that they can cure him completely from the cancer. He will also obtain great powers, but it is not without side effects. He is reluctant to embrace this seemingly double edged opportunity and worries about the consequences. Always at the forefront of his mind however is his stunning companion played by the gorgeous Morena Baccarin. He soon is transformed into the mutant Deadpool, a deadpan, sardonic mutant who becomes hellbent on tracking down the guy who nearly destroyed him.
This Superhero movie is a first of it’s kind with the Protagonist straying from the traditional format of a perfectly ethical do-gooder than can do no wrong. Instead we are given a wise cracking mutant who thinks nothing of taking out 5 bad guys at once with a single bullet. We love this original formula at MensStuffApproved. It adds a touch of realism and for us, all those goody-two-shoes superheroes makes us want to throw up over our own shoes at times! So this is a nice touch and very refreshing.
We expect this movie to deliver a lot of laughs, great cinematography and some really original fight scenes. For us, Deadpool can’t come soon enough. Marvel is definitely a company to watch out for this year with them producing so many cool new movies!
