We have just watched the trailer for Dr Strange and have been marvelling over the cinematography (no pun intended). It’s a visual feast for the eyes and takes you on a journey through dazzling city scapes, beautiful islands and seemingly through the fabric of time itself. We have to hand it to director Scott Derrickson who appears to have created a dramatic piece of work that implores you to keep your eyes glued the screen as he unveils the story. Even the timing of the shots lend drama to the way the plot unfolds.
So you may be wondering what it’s all about! The story begins with Stephen Strange, a world famous neurosurgeon who finds his career in ruins after an unfortunate accident which leaves him unable to work. He embarks upon a voyage to assist with his healing and along the way he cross paths with The Ancient One, alternative dimensions and a secret world of magic and sorcery.
This is an interesting step for Marvel as magic has never before prevailed in any of their action films. Previously they have explained super powers as the result of mutations, DNA tweaks and chemical reactions so it will be compelling to see how this develops.
Released 28th October 2016 – watch out for this one! We predict it’s going to be a spectacular cinematic adventure!
