This weekend sees the 11th year of The Supercar Event for The Children’s Trust at Dunsfold Park in Cranleigh. Unlike most car shows you don’t just have the opportunity to view an impressive array of supercars dappled in the July sunlight, you could also have the once in a lifetime experience of passenger rides in one of the beautiful motors in attendance such as a Ferrari 458 Speciale, Porsche 991 GT3 RS or Lamborghini Aventador SV.
What better way to raise funds for such an important cause that being spirited around the famous Top Gear track in one of these awe-inspiring supercars. There will be over 150 cars to peruse and possibly ride in, with passenger ride prices starting at £30. The drivers give up their time, fuel costs and tyres for free to be able to give you an experience only the rich usually get in some of the world’s most spectacular cars.
The Children’s Trust is the UK’s leading charity for children with brain injury and the expected 17,000 visitors to the event will raise an astonishing £100,000 towards the cause in the space of the weekend. Over the years the event has attracted a plethora of well-known faces such as Chris Evans, Andrea Mclean, Mark Dixon, Eddie Stobart and Craig Phillips.
And it’s not just Supercars to keep you entertained, there is something for the whole family from helicopters, Caterham Sevens, hovercraft and mini tanks to Diggerland, the Lexus LFA and a 4 x 4 course. Teenagers (14 +) can have their first driving experience at the Stay Safe Driving School and check out Mini Monster Truck Mania while the little ones can go for a ride in a fire engine and meet Peppa Pig in the children’s area.
