Considering Andy Palmer’s first job with Aston Martin in 2014 was accountancy he has made an illustrious jump to CEO and is the driving force behind the recent move to Wales and the subsequent advertising campaign. Having previously worked for Nissan as chief planning office , Palmer has motor oil running through his veins and always strives to produce the most exciting and pertinent products.

The beautiful DB11 was recently unveiled at the Geneva show with credit for its conception going to Marek Reichman. The project started back in 2012 but didn’t have the funding, step in Palmer to secure £700 million in funding to see them over the next four years.Aston Martin's 7 year Super Car Plan

Although a British institution Aston Martin has always worked from car to car, each car generating the funds for the next one. Having secured this influx of case has secured not just the DB11 but also the Vantage, Vanquish and DBX along with cash flow for the next 3 cars, effectively paying for 7 cars in 7 years.

The new Vantage is due this year , basically a pared down version of the DB11, featuring the 4.0-litre twin turbo V8 in its first outing since being bought from AMG. Whereas the Vantage is a turned down version , 2018’s Vanquish will turn it up to 20!! With a more aggressive inclination to the styling and a 5.2-litre twin turbo V12 engine you can expect up to 650 bhp. 2019 will see the all electric DBX crossover , aimed more towards the female market this 5 door Welsh built model aims to cut the average fleet emissions.

A busy few years for Aston then!
