The latest concept car by a brand New competitor on the car market – Faraday Future.
This super powered hyper car was revealed in Las Vegas at the Consumer Electrics Show. It boasts 4 motors and whilst not faster than a speeding bullet it’s pretty damned impressive! It has a very futuristic design behind it with drivers being able to plug there smartphones in and set the car programming to do exactly what you want!
Product architect Nick Sampson was quoted as saying “Two years isn’t long and we have already got some vehicles out on the road. Not vehicles that look like our final production vehicle, but which are testing subsystems… that’s one way of doing development, you test elements of the car at a time and nobody needs to recognise it.”
Critics have labelled the car ‘a bat mobile’ and called it un-drivable. But that’s exactly what a concept car is, an idea, a test bed for new ideas, a blue print which will be tested and it’s components re-made until you are left with something superb. Whilst many concept cars never get off the tarmac, Faraday Future are expected to release a vehicle not too dissimilar from this in 2018.
Sampson hit back at critics explaining that this “Is merely an illustration of what we can do.”
Faraday Future aims to revolutionise the world of cars and bring us something new, and with them testing these cars in camouflage we are sure there is plenty of research going on right in front of us without us even noticing! The car manufacturer reveals that they have plans for “self driving features” but at the moment it’s all very cloak and dagger! We have to say – to hell with the critics, we are very excited to see what happens with this and have a lot of hope for this self driving state of the art technology!
