A few weeks ago was the long awaited global release of ‘The Force Awakens’ At the same time as this mega launch, Quentin Tarantino was also launching his new film ‘The Hateful Eight’
Tarantino had set up a deal with the Cinematic Dome to show his movie over 2 weeks during the Christmas period. However, Disney had other ideas! They were set on the idea of having ‘The Force Awakens’ shown throughout the whole of the Christmas period. In fact they went to great lengths to inform the Cinematic Dome that if they did not comply and show the new Star Wars movie for the whole period (which meant ousting out movie King Tarantino) then they would not allow the cinema to show the Star Wars blockbuster in any of their cinemas across the world!
So Quentin happened to be booked into the Howard Stern show in Los Angeles to promote his film, and we can’t really blame him for being a little peeved when he covers this topic! In a highly impassioned rant at Disney he explains how he feels Disney are using extortion and trying to mess with him!
This highly acclaimed Director makes compelling viewing when he flames the company that he feels have ****ed him! With a long list of enthralling and momentous movies under his belt, we are pretty sure that even Disney won’t be able to stop the public enjoying Tarantino’s latest – The Hateful Eight! It’s definitely up there on our top movies to watch list!
