Unless you have been living under a rock for the last 11 years you will be aware that The Sharnbrook Hotel in Bedfordshire is not merely known for its tranquil location, scrumptious food and welcoming staff. It is the home of the prodigious #petrolheadonism car enthusiast events and none of them is closer to owner Ciro Ciampi’s heart than the monthly Ferrari Private Club meets.
Over the last few years they have extended this to include specialised Ferrari nights such as the 2015 F50 night, the 2016 Enzo night and this years F40 only night, what will they have in store for the Ferrari owners community in 2018? As you can imagine Ciro is very proud of all they have cultivated and told us “…last night was pretty special on so many levels, (we are) very proud of what we and the team have accomplished over the last 11 years and this photo was 3 years in the making with our monthly Ferrari Private Club meets…
What we do know is I will continue to raise the bar and (I) thank my wonderful network of friends, supporters and fellow Petrolheads that make all our events what they are.” The photo in question is, of course, this glorious shot of 4 resplendent F40’s outside the hallowed entrance to The Sharnbrook. How often do you get a sight like that?
For many Ferrari devotees, the F40 coupe is the superlative example of a road going sports car with its tubular steel chassis, mid-engine, four-wheel-drive and top speed of 201 mph. They are known to have a light curb weight and high power output allowing for prodigious performance potential, and of course, they are rather gorgeous.
Along with the Ferrari Club meets, The Sharnbrook holds other car shows and cruises throughout the year including the Italian Car and Bike Day 2 weeks ago, the upcoming Abarth Owners BBQ on the 23rd July and Supercar Sunday – Hypercar Showdown on the 3rd of September
The next time you are passing The Sharnbrook, take a look, you may just get a glimpse of a supercar or 4.
