No car enthusiast could have missed the recent news about the Koenigsegg Agera RS Gryphon test crash. If you haven’t seen the pictures of the hypercar after it lost control at the National Electric Vehicle Sweden facility in Trollhattan then you must have been hibernating. Blamed on wet conditions the 1000 plus horsepower luxury sports car was being tested during manufacturing when it crashed spectacularly, flying off the track, causing damage to the bodywork though no structural damage was reported. Annoyingly for Entrepreneur Manny Khoshbin he had already bought the car and was awaiting delivery. You can just image how he must have felt when the news of the crash leaked and he saw the damage to what was to be his new motor. Khoshbin received apologies from Koenigsegg CEO Christian Von Koenigsegg and sales director Tariq Ali and a solution to the problem was discussed.
It was decided that although the company would fix it they would keep it for a test car. So what about poor old Manny? Well, Koenigsegg will be making him a brand new Agera RS with something a little special added. The company have confirmed the work has begun and that the new car will come complete with gold leaf details. Although Khoshbin will be waiting months or possibly years for the new Agera to be completed he appears happy with the arrangement and has publicly applauded Koenigsegg for their professionalism. Let’s just hope they deliver this one.
