This paranormal horror is seriously creepy! If you have a taste for spine tingling psychological scare-fests then you will love this! Lights Out combines all the very best elements of chilling hilling horror in a method that is superbly executed.
It is hard to please a modern audience of horror as films in this genre follow a formula and we kind of know what to expect. The key is to take the audience by surprise and scare the living wits out of them! Not an easy feat but somehow they manage it.
Lights Out follows a family who are being haunted. And when the lights go out a gloomy and foreboding presence looms in the darkness waiting to pounce! The direction is fantastic and the dark mood of the film is created with clever lighting and – darkness! Not easy to achieve but the trailer alone has left us on the edge of our sits with our hearts in our mouths and a sense of dread in our stomach!
The main point of a trailer is to make the audience want to see me and the producers have certainly succeeded there! The shots of the fearsome looking mannequins with mutiliated faces bathed in blue light are enough to turn the knees of even the bravest to quivering jelly.
