The sequel to Olympus Has Fallen has arrived and the thriller/action looks set to be full of dramatic moments, explosions and carnage as war is declared on London by a group of terrorists bringing the City crumbling to the ground and destroying Britain’s national treasures and history.
We were slightly annoyed by the trailer in which a terrorist claims “We will decimate London.” This is a term that is often inaccurately used and does not mean ‘destroy’ but in fact means ‘remove 10% of the population! Get it right please scriptwriters!
Anyway – we digress! The terrorist organisation plot to execute all major world leaders leaving The US president (Aaron Eckhart), his Secret Service aid (Played by Gerard Butler) and m1-6 agent (Charlotte Riley to form an allegiance in this battle against evil and save the day.
A must see for those who can’t get through the day without endless epic explosions on the silver screen! The presence of Morgan Freeman gives this film some extra kudos so be sure to expect some dramatic performances. We are just imagining how this would play out if the script involved a terrorist threatening to bring down the British Prime Minister. The public would probably mutter ‘Well I’m surprised it hasn’t happened sooner, he HAS ticked off a few people” then they’d return to sipping their tea completely un-phased!
Of course, Americans are much more patriotic than this so you can expect absolute uproar in London Has Fallen.
