Deep in the heart of Woking in a secret location sits the McLaren’s Special Ops unit. This is where 12 of their track only P1 GT-R’s sit awaiting preparation before they are sold for millions. To be part of P1 GT-R programme it will set you back £2million. Then you can have your car painted in any hue, shade,paint or kaleidoscope of colours that your heart desires. The P1 has an incredibly 986bhp combined and it’s been totally stripped back to lighten the load by 150kg.
Club members can enjoy a consultation with Frank Stephenson – McLaren’s Design Director to discuss your cars specifications and desired colours. Little tweaks are on offer such as tailor made racing suits or even customised seating.
The F1 simulator is where members take part in training for six events which begin in sun drenched Spain at The Circuit de Catalunya.
