Men’s Hairstyle Trends 2016

Currently mens fashion is heavily inspired by the 1950’s and mens hairstyle trends are combining elements of the 50’s and 60’s to create more sophisticated looks. Undercuts and fades are popular whilst many guys are still trying to rock the man bun look. We think the man bun looks great on sumi wrestlers but we are yet to be convinced about this look!

The quiff was rocked by Elvis the king of rock n roll, Billy idol and James Dean. This look is the epitome of style and lends an air of sophistication and sex appeal to the wearer. It’s been recycled through the 50’s, 80’s and today and is one of those looks suits most. The modern quiff is paired with shaved sides and textured locks to keep it up to date. Keep it small and unkempt or large and perfectly groomed, this look is here to stay.

Fades

This low maintenance look is popular with many although a highly skilled barber is necessary to achieve the right look. Not all barbers are capable of blending the hair perfectly. The lower fade is very current or you can emulate the Brad Pitt look and keep some length at the top for that rugged, boyish kind of look. Women love a little something to run their hands through. Just make sure they don’t mess up the style!

The Man Bun

This look is like the ponytail with a slight twist.  This look is all about bone structure and a good jaw line. If you’ve got it flaunt it! Pulled back long hair can look amazing on a guy – think Thor or Jared Leto.  This can be combined with an under cut for a lower maintenance look or team with a beard if you want to look very manly!

Undercut

A simple undercut can reduce the hours you have to spend faffing in front of a mirror and it looks pretty cool against most face shapes.  Keep length on the top, or keep it choppy.
