Leveraging axial-flux motor technology developed by Yasa, a company acquired by Mercedes in 2021, the AMG.EA platform promises remarkable advancements in torque, power, and weight reduction.
Yasa’s groundbreaking technology offers four times more torque and double the power compared to conventional EV systems, all while being significantly lighter. This power unit will complement a new high-performance, high-voltage battery, ensuring unparalleled performance for the Mercedes-AMG electric supercar.
From the official images released by Mercedes, it’s evident that the design cues draw inspiration from the Vision AMG concept unveiled in 2022.
