To celebrate their 50th birthday in spectacular style AMG will be unveiling their new hypercar ‘Project One’. The big reveal will take place at the Frankfurt Motor Show this forthcoming September.  The new hypercar is said to produce a magnificent 1000bhp and CEO Dr Zetsche revealed that the hypercar would be “The missing link legitimising the integration of AMG with the Formula One team.”

This will only be a small run Mercedes have announced and it’s the first car ever to have a Formula One engine and be street legal! Zetsche described the latest model as “The ultimate sports car!”

Mercedes have already leaked that the model will use the same hybrid power chain as the F1 but with a few alterations. For example, their teaser photo’s clearly show a central fin for astronomical downforce, plus large vents and a wide rear track.

The AMG is quite phenonomal and out performs other market leaders such as LaFerrari and the Porsche 918 and will be going head to head with Aston Martin’s AM-RB001.

This is certainly going to be one ground breaking project  – keep your eyes peeled for more news on this!
