McLaren are back with a new sports car which is remarkable similar to the P1 but comes in at almost £700,00 cheaper at only £143,000. This has undoubtedly caused a great deal of excitement for many McLaren fans who can now get their hands on these gorgeous models without taking out a second mortgage. Although true McLaren snobs will notice the subtle alterations in the 570S
McLaren have designed a “more practical sports car”. It’s very simple to get the hang of cruising along in the 570S. It features soft suspension, a 7 gear speed box and an electro hydraulic steering system.
Despite it’s practical approach it doesn’t disappoint on speed with an acceleration of 0-60 in 3,1 seconds courtesy of 562bhp from it’s 3.8 litre V8 engine.
McLaren haven’t compromised on style either.This is a car that is effortlessly stylish and very pleasing on the eye.
It’s the little extra’s that really did it for us, the sounds system is mental! Designed by Bowers and Wilkins (audio specialists) you could hold a disco in this sporty number! There are also cupholders – cars without cupholders is one of our pet hates so they get a big thumbs up from us on this!
It also has a touch screen console which is so simple to use even your grandma could work it out, although we hasten to add you should probably not let her dabble with it unless you want to listen to Radio 2 for the whole journey! The Iris has Bluetooth, SatNav, Wifi tethering, Voice activation and digital radio. It’s capable of displaying performance and lap time on the track also.
They’ve gone with a carbon fibre chassis for super cool handling and the steering is pretty responsive. It has 3 power modes, normal, sport and track.
McLaren are also set to unveil a slightly less powerful version later this year – the 540C and at 20k less than the 570S! Whichever model you decide to go, a McLaren is always sure to excite!
