The Vuhl 05RR has arrived and the latest model is faster and ultimately more powerful. It was recently showcased at Goodwood’s Festival Of Speed where it received a wonderful response. The car is now much lighter thanks to it’s new carbon fibre body and is fitted with an Ecoboost engine which lends it an additional 100bhp giving it a total of 385bhp.
The 05RR can achieve 0-62 mph in just 2.7 seconds and is capable of a top speed of 160mph. In a roofless car with a small windscreen this is going to feel like warp speed 9 – don’t forget your sunglasses! It’s pretty close to the speed of a Bugatti Chiron with the added beauty of being able to cruise along looking at the sky and feeling the wind in your face.
It goes without saying that the Vuhl is intended as a track car and has a faster steering rack to help it get round those bends at high speed. It’s centre of gravity is also much lower, an aggressive design intended for maximum speed!
Prices are unknown as of yet but are expected to be somewhere within the region of 80k.
We think this is a pretty awesome track car and having seen it at The London Motorshow in a stunning azure blur, trust us we can honestly say it looks 100 times more amazing in real life! This car is beautifully crafted, it’s an absolute vision and a couple of our team got stuck for a good 20 minutes by it’s side stroking the body and interior and imagining what it must feel like to drive.
What do you think of the RR? Can you imagine yourself behind the wheel hurtling into the horizon like a speed demon? Or does that RR just not cut the mustard for you? Let us know your thoughts!
