NSX GT3 Racer

The NSX has been heavily featured in the press recently and even appeared on Top Gear when Chris Harris and the infamous Stig took it for a spun. Now are you ready for the next level, more extreme, more insane version?

The NSX GT3 racing version has arrived and is decked out lustrously with carbon fibre. Later this year we expect to see it receive the stamp of approval as an FIA GT3.

So lets see what else we can expect with this pretty groovy racing car.  It will be using the sane 3;5 twin turbo V6 engine as the standard model and a 6 speed gearbox.  This model has larger vents to enhance engine cooling and a shiny, gigantic rear wing for more downforce. This baby will be built in Ohio at Acura’s production centre.

It’s been tested fiercely and development has taken place across Europe and Japan where it has been access to find it’s racing specs ahead of it’s racing premiere which is being organised by Honda’s Performance Development team in sunny California.

It’s a vehicle that looks slightly odd with it’s bubble like roof, low suspension, side skirts and that humungous rear wing. It sort of reminds us of a huge insect with feelers on the back, but the whole look somehow totally works and we love it! It certainly looks like it means business and it resembles a cross between a hyperactive hornet and a cheerful beetle! We can happily imagine Batman’s sidekick riding in this one, and maybe borrowed from time to time by the caped crusader himself. It’s quirky, it’s cool, it’s a little serial and it’s set to deliver on performance if it lives up to all the speculation. We can’t wait to see more!

Can you see yourself in the NSX GT3 Racer? Buckle up you are in for an incredible ride!
