So there is no doubt this seasons Premier League has been a bit of a surprise. Not least last years Champions Chelsea having a terrible season and sacking the ‘Special One’ and last seasons relegation escape artists Leicester City Champions elect!! It’s a pretty crazy season!
There are now 6 games left and Leicester lead the table by 7 points with 6 games to play. Can they really win their first league title in the highest division in their 132-year history, or could they yet choke? With them only needing 4 wins from their last 6 games it doesn’t look likely, but lets take a closer look:
Leicester despite fighting relegation last season, have the all-important experience of a title run-in. Many of their players were involved in winning the Football League Championship in 2013-2014.
They have added to their squad, changed manager and have a striker in Jamie Vardy who is having a dream season. Their high pressing and quick counter attacking style of football as been difficult for teams to tame and they have continued to surprise people.
Claudio Ranieri famously nicknamed the ‘Tinkerman’ hasn’t tinkered at all and has kept a settled side aided by a lack of European football and injuries. 7 points clear it is clearly theirs to lose.
So what are their remaining fixtures and what do we think the results will be?

Tottenham Hotspur
Tottenham have equally had an outstanding season, yet it is overlooked due to Leicester’s incredible rise. Yet Spurs are fighting for the title, which they have not won since 1961. Mauricio Pochettino has done an incredible job in pushing spurs to challengers and surefire champions league qualification. The later was seen as an outside chance at the beginning of the season.
Harry Kane has had another outstanding season scoring over 20 goals for the second season in a row destroying his one season wonder tag. 19 year Dele Alli has emerged from a League One player last season to a key player in the side and an England International this season.
Toby Alderweireld stolen from under Southampton’s noses has helped to give Spurs one of the meanest defence and is arguably the best defender in the league. Yet they are 7 points behind Leicester and when they needed to put pressure on them by beating Liverpool away from home, they just came up short. Can they capitalize on any slip ups from Leicester?

Arsenal
Perennial top 4 finishers Arsenal are there again, but there were much higher hopes this season when they started and maintained their charge so promisingly. Yet once again they seem to have gone off the boil in the run in with Ozil not replicating his amazing early and mid-season form and Sanchez’s injury seeming to affect his run in form.
Arsene Wenger has come in for lots of criticism from his own fans for not winning a title since 2004 despite not finishing out of the top 4 since 1996. This may seem harsh, but when you consider Arsenal charge some of the highest ticket prices in the Premier League and that money is not always spent on what the team needs.
Many pundits suggest however that Arsenal are still in this title race! Could they really still have a chance of winning it?

Manchester City
Manchester City cannot complain about the past few years. Massive investment has seen them rise to become a real force in football with great players such as Aguero, Silva, Kompany, De Bruyne.
Yet this season they have been disappointing. Clearly not helped by the announcement that Pellegrini will not be in charge next season as the biggest name in management Pep Guardiola will take over to no doubt spend lots of money!! With the rich talent in their squad could they yet challenge for the title? They are the only side still with European football, which could add as a further distraction.

Well our very scientific approach sees no change in the current positions, Leicester go on to amaze everyone including themselves to win their first top league title by 1 point from Tottenham!!
