Leeds Rhinos have announced that Ryan Hall will be returning to the club for the 2025 Super League season, marking the end of his illustrious playing career where it all began.
Hall, who began his journey with the Headingley club in 2007, has been an integral part of their success, contributing to six Super League Grand Final victories, two Challenge Cups, and two World Club Challenge titles during his tenure.
The seasoned winger, England’s leading try-scorer of all time, ventured to Sydney Roosters in 2019 before making his way back to the Super League in 2021 with Hull KR, where he has impressively notched up 52 tries in 85 appearances.
Returning to West Yorkshire for the upcoming season, the 37-year-old is poised to make history as he stands just four tries shy of breaking the all-time Super League record held by former Leeds teammate Danny McGuire, a feat he aims to achieve in the Rhinos’ jersey.
In addition to his playing duties, Hall has also secured a post-retirement role within the club’s commercial department, ensuring his continued involvement with Leeds beyond his time on the field.
Reflecting on his return, Hall expressed his excitement, stating, “I am really happy that my career is going full circle and I will play my final year at the Rhinos. However, I am under no illusions. People might be saying it’s a fairy tale but this is not a parade for me. I have got work to do and I still feel I have got good rugby in the legs.”
Acknowledging the importance of planning for life after playing, Hall sees his future with Leeds as an exciting prospect, remarking, “As players we are often told of the importance of planning for life after playing and the opportunity for me to start that next stage of my life at the Rhinos from 2026 onwards is wonderful.”
With a blend of anticipation and determination, Hall is ready to roll up his sleeves and make his final season with Leeds one to remember, while also laying the groundwork for his post-playing career within the club.
