Carrying on from where Captain America Civil War left off – Spiderman Homecoming continues the story of Peter Parker who obtains freak spider like abilities after an incident caused his genes to mutate. With Tony Stark (Iron Man) as his mentor, it seems that Parker can do no wrong. However Stark rules with an iron fist and Spider man’s hope of one day becoming a member of the Avengers seems to be merely a schoolboy dream.
Parker must balance life as an average kid and shouldering the responsibility of protecting the city from dangerous criminals such as the Vulture. This is a feat which is none too easy when you have the one and only ironman haranguing you and watching your every move!
Initially our thoughts were that Tom Holland was a trifle young to play a super hero in a Marvel film, but actually he possesses a great deal of talent and makes for a convincing Spider Man. The CGI as to be expected with a Marvel film is spot on and draws us into a race through the city and over skyscrapers as Spider Man harnesses his powers.
This time round the movie has been injected with a big dose of comedy which contrasts from some of the previous darker and more serious Spider Man movies. The humour in the trailer is well timed and adds moments of comic relief, which makes it a much more inspired effort than Marvel’s Deadpool which relied solely on sarcasm.
You tend to either love or hate Marvel films and based on the trailer, here at Mens Stuff we think we are going to love this one! We are looking forward to seeing which direction this goes in. It has been revealed that Tom Holland has signed a deal to do 3 Marvel movies in total so that is a lot of great spidey entertainment to look forward too! Or it could be that his story will overlap in some of the other Marvel movies. maybe one day Spider man will become an Avenger!
Check the trailer out to watch this amazing spectacle of brilliance!
