So Bugatti may have smashed the world’s top speed in racing sports cars but Tesla have snatched the title of fastest acceleration with their new P100D!

The P100D can reach 100km/h in an incredible 2.5 seconds. This model is also autonomous so owners of the latest Tesla can enjoy the journey hands free and sit back and relax whilst the car does all the hard work.  It’s suddenly sounding a lot more tempting that similar brands on the market!

So how have Tesla managed this exactly. Apparently they have utilised 100kWh battery packs to boost range. Tesla also have new supercharging stations appearing round the globe too so you can fire up your bad boy motor in many locations. This prospect does indeed make the notion of an electric powered car a lot more attractive and a lot friendlier on the environment as well.

If you already own a Tesla you can benefit from an upgrade with the battery packs for £10,000 and of course at 4.5pence to the mile it’s a fair bit cheaper to run than similar petrol or diesel cars.  It’s definitely a lot more easy on the wallet when you look at it that way!
