Introducing the latest marvel from Ferrari’s illustrious stable: the 12Cilindri, a testament to the brand’s unwavering commitment to both heritage and cutting-edge technology. Departing from the trend of turbocharging and hybridization, the 12Cilindri proudly showcases the raw power of its 6.5-liter V-12 engine.

Unveiled alongside its Spider variant in a grand event in Miami, the 12Cilindri marks the successor to the revered 812 Superfast. At its heart lies a 6.5-liter, 65-degree V-12 engine, a refined iteration of Ferrari’s iconic F140 powerplant, initially introduced in the legendary Enzo two decades ago. Delivering an awe-inspiring 819 naturally aspirated horsepower at 9,250 rpm and 500 pound-feet of torque at 7,250 rpm, with a thrilling redline of 9,500 rpm, this engine represents the pinnacle of internal combustion engineering. Notably, Ferrari achieves compliance with stringent emissions standards sans hybrid assistance, showcasing their mastery of traditional engine design.

Enhancing the engine’s prowess is an eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox, situated at the rear for optimal weight distribution. With 30% quicker shifts than its predecessor, the 12Cilindri promises exhilarating acceleration. Further enhancing performance are taller 21-inch tires, effectively shortening gear ratios by 5.0%, resulting in blistering acceleration figures. The coupe boasts a 0-62 mph time of 2.9 seconds, while the Spider achieves it in 2.95 seconds, with respective 0-124 mph times of under 7.9 and 8.2 seconds. Both variants soar beyond 211 mph, delivering an unmatched driving experience.

In terms of design, the 12Cilindri exudes timeless elegance with modern flair. Drawing inspiration from classics like the Daytona, the design incorporates technical detailing for a contemporary aesthetic. Inside, drivers are greeted by a familiar Ferrari steering wheel adorned with controls, accompanied by a central infotainment display for added convenience. The cabin, reminiscent of the Purosangue, offers a perfect blend of luxury and functionality, albeit sans rear seats.

Equipped with Ferrari’s latest chassis control systems, including Side Slip Control 8 and independent four-wheel steering, the 12Cilindri ensures unparalleled handling and stability. Buyers can choose between Michelin Pilot Sport S 5 or Goodyear Eagle F1 Supersport tires, further customizing their driving experience.

While Ferrari remains tight-lipped about the 12Cilindri’s weight, it’s estimated to range between 3,700 and 3,800 pounds when ready to drive. With a 15% increase in stiffness over the 812, the 12Cilindri promises uncompromising performance and agility.

As expected from a V-12 Ferrari, exclusivity comes at a price. The coupe starts at $423,000 (€395,000), while the convertible commands $466,000 (€435,000). Given Ferrari’s tradition of high demand and limited production, securing a 12Cilindri may prove challenging, even for the most dedicated enthusiasts.
