After a leak earlier this week, THQ Nordic has finally come out and officially announced Biomutant.
A German magazine first leaked the surprise game, which was then followed by Amazon adding game details and screenshots to their product page. A collector’s edition has also since appeared on Amazon, which includes the game, official soundtrack, fabric artwork and a figurine of the sword wielding ninja fox-cat, all of which come in a cool looking premium box.
Set in another, albeit prettier than normal post-apocalyptic environment, Biomutant is an open-world action RPG, which allows the player to change their characters appearance and abilities, by combining weapons bionics and mutant powers. Combat is a blend of firearms and martial arts, and each customisation you make impact how your character will play during the real time combat.
It is being made by independent developer by Experiment 101, which was co-founded by Avalanche Studios former creative director Stefan Ljungqvist. Biomutant is set for release in 2018 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. You can see the teaser trailer and some in-game footage below.
