One of the best things to come out of 1996 was the cult film Trainspotting. The film followed a group of degenerates trying to survive in the abyss of Edinburg’s drug scene, many with harrowing drug addictions. The film was a massive success with a pretty spectacular soundtrack to boot which had Britain’s dance floors hollering “Shouting lager lager!”
It’s been a hell of a wait for the sequel but finally it’s underway. Trainspotting 2 directed by Danny Boyle will somewhat follow Irvine Welsh’s sequel ‘Porno’.
We are delighted to announce the the original cast will be back consisting of Ewan McGregor, Robert Carlyle, Ewen Bremner and Jonny Lee Miller.
Film critics always claim that sequels are never as good as the originals, but given that Danny Boyle is directing this, the cast are returning and they have had 20 years to mull over how to perfect it, we have high expectations for T2.
Release date is expected Jan 2017. Whoopee!
