What could be better than a powerful Aston Martin that is on par with the Vantage GT12 without the million pound price tag? Meet the updated Aston Martin Vanquish S . At a very reasonable £200,000 , give or take, this 6-litre beauty reaches the same 201 mph as the original Vanquish however the newer model can go from 0-62mph in 3.5 seconds which is a 0.3 second improvement on its predecessor. With enhanced dynamics, enriched engine power and an enticing new look this is arguably the most outstanding Aston Martin to date. Even Aston boss Dr Andy Parker agrees and goes as far as to say that the new Vanquish “takes things a step further, confidently asserting itself within the Aston Martin range and distinguishing itself from the new DB11.”
The Vanquish of old has had a make over with a new exposed carbon fibre body kit with strong smooth curves and chiselled front splitter. The sexy back end is now complete with a raw rear diffuser and four prodigious exhausts. Gone is the willowy elegance of the DB11 and in its place is an assailing attack on our senses . The aggressive beauty of the Vanquish S is to the DB11 what a Puma is to a pussy cat. It roars rather than purrs.
Of course as with any Super Car the price tag may start of at a reasonable figure but just watch that climb as you add any of the amazing bespoke additions. Such exciting add ons as a ‘satin’ carbon dashboard , ‘graphics packs’ and world renowned Scottish made Bridge of Weir Caithness leather seats all add to the movie star feel. Don’t worry though, even if you can’t stretch to these excess’s the standard options are pretty monumental themselves. I would buy this for the 1000w Bang and Olufsen stereo alone, not to mention the 20in diamond-turned alloys and Apple car play.
In a beauty like this you will be afforded the smoothest drive even at it’s highest speed , the unforgettable driving experience enhanced by the silky smooth gear change with the 8-speed Touchtronic III Transmission which really allows you to open this baby up and let her roar.
Of course all this goes without saying with the history and craftsmanship of all that have gone before her. With such an impressive heritage the Vantage S lives up to the elegance and powerful performance which have come to expect from this quintessentially British name in motoring.
