A Visit To Super Veloce Racing

So we wanted to give you all an insight into our friends over at Super Veloce Racing in Loudwater, Buckinghamshire.

The video below shows you a little walk around their showroom we did before Christmas. The guys there kindly let us spend as much time as we wanted looking around their current stock and getting a better insight for you all.

As you hear on the video a number of those cars have already been sold, which is a testimony to the class of their stock, knowledge and customer service that they have a good turnover in selling their cars. These guys are real car fanatics, so you see a range of cars they wish to sell, which is different to other showrooms. They sell cars they love and they look at real quality over quantity so you know you are getting a well looked after and special car when you buy from them.

That is just on the pre-used cars, Super Veloce Racing Ltd. Are the official appointed UK dealer for the Noble M600. They have a number of used M600s available, but they can offer you a fully bespoke build for a new Noble M600, which quite simply is a truly astonishing drivers car.

Whether you are looking for a brand new Noble or a quality used supercar, it is the team, which will make all the difference. These guys live and breathe high performance cars:
Businessman and supercar collector Ben Adnett founded SVR. Managing Director Ben is a huge Lamborghini aficionado and fulfilled a lifelong ambition 15 years ago by owning a Countach. He has gone on to subsequently own Diablos and Gallardos, but secretly admitted to us he still regrets selling the Countach.

Lee Cuningham is Sales and Events director. Continuing the strong Lamborghini experience Lee is an ex Lamborghini technician and test driver. Lee is one of the most successful Lamborghini racing drivers in the UK a career that has spanned 23 years. He won the Lamborghini Super Trophy Championship 2001 followed by a race seat in the FIA GT Championship; he then took on an engineering role developing the Murcielago RGT1 racecar. He continues to race in rounds of various championships.

Alan Robb is Aftersales Manager for SVR, his vast experience and contact list is perfect for giving perfect customer service to SVR customers. Alan is a former UK Lamborghini Agent and over the past 12 years has worked for such esteemed car brands as: Ferrari, Pagani, Bugatti, Koenigsegg and Rolls Royce, there are not many things about cars you cannot discuss with him.

SVR can offer you a complete bespoke ordering and finance package for your new M600, you can specify virtually anything you want in the car, from your choice of coloured stitching on the upholstery, to carbon fibre exposure on the exterior. Further to this the very best servicing and detailing is available through their partners Mulgari Automotive in Bracknell.

What a car the M600 is to own. We have a full detailed review of the M600 in another blog, but it is too special a car to not talk about it here as well.

Here are a few figures:

  • Yamaha V8 4439cc Twin Turbo Engine
  • Torque 604Ilb @ 6800 rpm
  • Power to weight ratio : 558bhp per ton
  • Top speed 225 mph
  • 0-120 mph: 8.9 seconds

It is a serious car with a serious price tag, at £200,000 it the cost surprises some for a Noble and many ask why would I pay that instead of buying a Ferrari or Lamborghini. Well the answer is in the driving. The M600 goes back to being a true drivers car a Supercar without computers numbing the driving experience for you, but can it really compete with the big boys?

Only if you drive one! We know of a case where a car enthusiast maintained he had no need for a M600, “what would be the point?” he asked, “I have Ferrari’s and Lamborghini’s I just don’t need another car of that type.” He was finally encouraged to drive one and following the drive he had to have one, he now does.

What makes it so special? Well the uneducated will tell you it has the same engine as a Volvo XC90, what it has is that Yamaha engine tuned and along with two turbo chargers now offers 650bhp! This gives the M600 a power to weight ratio of 530bhp per ton.0-60 in 3 hell-raising seconds without any computer aids which includes no ABS! You do get traction control, which has a covered switch for you to turn off if you have very large cojones. Rather sensibly it has 3 power modes you can choose between: 450bhp to pop to the shops, 550bhp if you are feeling more excitable and full fat 650bhp.

General consensus throughout the automotive press is the price of £200,000 is fully justified for a seriously quick car that is balanced and well made. You would need a Bugatti and a whole lot more money for a car that is able to go toe to toe with it.

So if you want to stand out from the crowd and go seriously quick and instead of a computer helping you drive in a McLaren, Ferrari or a Lamborghini get in an M600 and go for a real drive. Give the guys at Super Veloce Racing a call, you won’t be disappointed.
