War For The Planet Of The Apes is the the third and penultimate film in the Planet Of the Apes trilogy.
Following on from Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes, tragic circumstances have led the humans and apes to turn on one another. Caesar and his fellow apes have no choice but to enter into a deadly battle with the human military lead by a brutal and merciless Colonel. The apes are suffering the agony of losing their loved ones to war all around them and Caesar becomes enraged and over powered by grief. He fights against his more sinister urges at first, then begins a journey of lethal vengeance.
The future of both species is hanging in the balance when Caesar finally meets with the Colonel and enters into a deadly battle. Which side will win…if any?
Here at Mens Stuff Approved we are big fans of the previous movies and this looks just as appealing. Planet Of the Apes has always been a stark reminder of our human flaws and our ability to destroy other species and the environment. The apes are a gentle and placid species that only enter into conflict when there is no other option available to them. In contrast, the humans are portrayed as impulsive, violent and illogical. The films serve as a painful reminder to treat our planet better and to take care of the life upon it. We admit to shedding a few tears over the last two films and we doubt that this one will be any different. One thing is for sure, the combat scenes look absolutely epic with the military rushing in and the apes all armed with weaponry and an arsenal of guns.
