The trailer gives an immediate hook. From the beginning we are compelled to watch whilst we are wonderfully assaulted with fast moving visuals, epic shots and a building sound track which gives us a sense that something of insurmountable importance is about to take place. The audience is led to believe that they are about to embark on a voyage of discovery with Fassbender, back in time to the days of The Knights of Templar. We were well and truly gripped by this well edited trailer which gives enough hints to keep us guessing.
With Fassbender as male lead we expect a terrific performance given some of his previous work on ‘X-Men’, ‘Inglorious Bastards’ and Prometheus to name a few. Female lead Marion Cotillard (‘Inception’ ‘The Dark Night Rises’, ‘Macbeth’) is set to deliver a stunning performance also with a ton of highly acclaimed movie appearances under her belt.
The much awaited film has been set back various times due to the production company Ubi-soft experiencing glitches, so fans of Assassins Creed will be thrilled to discover that the film will finally be released at the end of the year. As they say – all good things come to those who wait!
