The future has arrived! This video looks at the latest cool skateboards on the market which make the humble basic skateboard pale in comparison. They showcase creations capable of many sharp manoeuvres including a 180 degree turn that’s achieved without even flipping the board in the air!
Later they reveal a board with a 6 point turning wheel system which means you can go backwards, forwards, sideways or any direction you like! Some of these boards reach crazy speeds too – don’t forget your helmet!

The pioneer of all this is interviewed and explains that his hover tracks board was intended to ride inside – around airports and shopping malls to cut down on those long and tedious walks! The solo wheel was made for outdoor use for transportation. It has a handle on it which makes it an easy device to ride from your house to the train station and then pop it into your rucksack for your commute.
The presenter then demonstrates how easy or not it is to ride these boards. Whilst some are a piece of cake, he demonstrates it takes a lot of practise to balance on others such as the solo wheel as he wobbles around the warehouse and crashes into a stack of boxes!
